Keepnet USA Rebrand

Keepnet is an app-based fishing tournament scoring solution using the principle of catch, record, and release. An all-in-one tournament platform tool that makes creating and running catch & release competitions easy. The struggle they were having in the US market was acceptance of the branding. As you can see in the examples to the right, they had a Fish Basket in their logo. This is not something most American anglers view as a “Catch and Release” symbol. As well as dated branding, that did not live up to their incredible product offerings.

Branding plays a crucial role in marketing and has several important implications for businesses. Here are some key reasons why branding is essential:

  1. Differentiation: In a crowded marketplace, branding helps businesses stand out from their competitors. It allows companies to establish a unique identity, personality, and value proposition that sets them apart. Effective branding helps create a distinct perception in the minds of consumers, making it easier for them to choose your product or service over others.

  2. Recognition and Recall: A strong brand creates familiarity and recognition among consumers. When customers are exposed to consistent branding elements such as logos, colors, slogans, and visual styles, it becomes easier for them to remember and recall your brand when making purchasing decisions. This leads to increased brand loyalty and repeat business.

  3. Trust and Credibility: A well-established brand builds trust and credibility with consumers. Brands that consistently deliver on their promises and maintain a positive reputation in the market tend to earn the trust of customers. Trust is a valuable asset that encourages customer loyalty, referrals, and positive word-of-mouth recommendations.

  4. Emotional Connection: Brands have the power to evoke emotions and connect with consumers on a deeper level. By developing a brand identity that aligns with the values, aspirations, and desires of the target audience, companies can create an emotional bond. When customers feel a strong connection to a brand, they are more likely to develop brand loyalty and become brand advocates.

  5. Price Premium: A strong brand can command a price premium for its products or services. When consumers perceive a brand as superior, reliable, and of higher quality, they are often willing to pay a premium price compared to generic alternatives. This pricing advantage can contribute to higher profit margins and increased profitability for the business.

  6. Consistency and Coherence: Branding ensures consistency and coherence in all aspects of marketing communication. By establishing brand guidelines and standards, companies can ensure that their messaging, visuals, and customer experiences are aligned across various channels. Consistency helps reinforce brand identity and build a strong brand image over time.

  7. Competitive Advantage: A well-executed branding strategy can provide a competitive advantage. In a marketplace where products and services may be similar, a strong brand can differentiate a business from competitors and create a perceived value that goes beyond functional attributes. This advantage helps attract customers, retain them, and gain market share.

Overall, branding is a strategic investment that goes beyond logos and design. It influences how consumers perceive, engage with, and choose a company. Building a strong brand enhances customer relationships, drives business growth, and creates long-term success in the marketplace.

Good photography is crucial for a brand for several reasons:

  1. Visual Appeal: High-quality and visually appealing photography can capture attention and make a strong first impression. It helps to create a positive perception of the brand and its products or services. People are naturally drawn to beautiful visuals, and captivating photography can engage potential customers and pique their interest in exploring more about the brand.

  2. Brand Identity and Differentiation: Photography plays a significant role in shaping a brand’s identity and setting it apart from competitors. Through carefully curated and consistent imagery, a brand can convey its unique personality, values, and aesthetics. Well-executed photography helps establish a distinct visual identity that resonates with the target audience and builds brand recognition.

  3. Storytelling: Photography has the power to tell stories and evoke emotions. By showcasing images that align with the brand’s narrative, values, and customer experiences, photography can effectively communicate the brand’s story and create a connection with the audience. Visual storytelling through photography can evoke emotions, build trust, and foster a deeper relationship between the brand and its customers.

  4. Product Presentation: For brands that sell physical products, high-quality product photography is essential. It showcases the products in their best light, highlighting their features, details, and benefits. Quality product images help build trust and confidence in potential customers, as they can see what they are purchasing and visualize themselves using or owning the product.

  5. Online Presence and Marketing: In today’s digital age, having visually appealing photography is vital for a brand’s online presence and marketing efforts. Whether it’s for a website, social media platforms, advertisements, or marketing collateral, compelling visuals can significantly enhance the impact of marketing campaigns. Eye-catching photography can increase click-through rates, engagement, and conversion rates.

  6. Professionalism and Credibility: High-quality photography conveys professionalism and enhances the brand’s credibility. Blurry, poorly lit, or amateurish images can create a negative impression and undermine the perceived quality and trustworthiness of the brand. On the other hand, professional photography instills confidence in potential customers and positions the brand as reputable and reliable.

  7. Consistency and Brand Cohesion: Consistency in photography style and visual elements across various brand touchpoints is crucial for building a cohesive brand identity. By maintaining a consistent visual language, including color schemes, composition, and mood, photography contributes to a unified brand experience. Cohesive visuals strengthen brand recognition and reinforce brand messaging.

  8. Shareability and Virality: Compelling and shareable photography has the potential to go viral on social media platforms and other online channels. People are more likely to share visually stunning or captivating images, which can significantly amplify a brand’s reach and visibility. Well-crafted photography increases the likelihood of user-generated content and word-of-mouth marketing.

In summary, good photography enhances a brand’s visual appeal, communicates its identity, tells stories, presents products effectively, boosts online presence, and contributes to professionalism and credibility. It is an investment that can significantly impact a brand’s success, capturing attention, engaging audiences, and creating a lasting impression.
